2008 Harley-Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softtail Classic

Denise hasn't been real happy with the seat on the Harley. It is hard and not really big enough to be comfortable when the ride lasts much over an hour. So we went to store and ordered us a new rear seat.

The original seat has the copper colored inset, but we decided that we could give that up for a more comfortable ride.

Removed the old seat, which was pretty easy. Just removed a single screw holding down the rear of the seat, and then it pulled out.

Installed the new seat strap.

Installed the new seat. Note it is a big wider.

One of the things we really like about the neat seat is that it compliments the lines of the bike.

For Christmas (how long ago was that? Like 4 months ago!) Matthew got a Timing Cover for the Harley. Well, we thought that we already had a pretty cool Timing Plate cover....

..so we took it into Hacienda Harley and we were able to trade it in on some Front Axle Nut Covers. Finally pulled them out of the packaging and got them installed on the bike. Check out the before and after.....

(What did you think of the self portrait?)

Matthew also got a 'Derby Cover' but when Bob got ready to install it, he found out that the Harley must be standing straight up (not on the Kick stand) to do the install or fluids will leak. So, that still needs to be installed. Maybe it won't take us another four months to make that happen!!

A minor modification. Bob's mom and dad bought us a Windshield bag. This will be great for holding the garage door opener and other things of this sort. Pretty cool, huh?

We made our first modification to the Harley. A set of Python 3 mufflers.

We made a couple of small movies of before and after.
